Winners must complete identity verification (KYC), sign an eligibility attestation and pass sanctions screening before any prize is paid. Prizes are paid in USDC on Arbitrum One to the wallet address connected to the winning trader’s Variational account.

The Competition is not open to U.S. persons, Canadian persons, persons in Restricted Jurisdictions under the Variational Terms of Use, or persons resident or located in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea or Australia. Full eligibility requirements are set out in the Official Competition Terms.

### Rules & Guidelines

* All entries must be PnL cards from trades executed on the Variational Omni trading platform.
* Posts on X must tag @variational\_io, be posted on a publicly viewable account, and remain up until the final announcement of winners.
* Only PnL cards sourced from a position with a notional size of $1,000 or more at the time the position is opened will be considered for prizes.
* Only PnL cards sourced from positions opened after 15:00 UTC on October 26, 2026 are considered for prizes.
* Entries will only be considered if they are both 1) posted on X and 2) submitted to the [entry form](https://variational.typeform.com/pnl-card-comp) before the conclusion of the competition at 15:00 UTC on October 30, 2026.
* Entries flagged for multiaccounting, matched trading, offsetting positions held across accounts controlled by or coordinated among entrants, trading on material non-public information, or other behaviors restricted by the [Variational Terms of Use](https://docs.variational.io/legal/terms-of-use) will be disqualified.
* Each trader can submit one entry for each of the three days of the competition. If more than one entry is submitted for the same day, only the first will be considered.
* In the event of a tie, the position with the larger notional size at opening wins the prize. If entries remain tied, the entry submitted first to the entry form wins.
* Positions opened with leverage above 20x are not eligible for the Largest Gain (%) prize.
* Each market counts toward the day it is listed under, regardless of when the position is opened during the competition window.
* PnL is measured as shown on the submitted card and verified against Variational's trade records at the time the card was generated. PnL (%) is measured against the initial margin of the position. Cards must be generated by Omni and unedited.

### Terms of Service

**Official Competition Terms**

These Official Competition Terms (these “Terms”) govern the Variational Earnings Week PnL Card Competition (the “Competition”). By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not enter the Competition.

1\. Organizer

The Competition is organized and administered by Applied Variational Research SEZC, a special economic zone company incorporated in the Cayman Islands with registration number CR-385784, whose registered office is at Metabase58 Cayman Limited, PO Box 10035, George Town, Grand Cayman KY1-1001, Cayman Islands (the “Organizer”, “we” or “us”).

2\. Relationship to the Platform Terms

2.1 The Variational Omni trading platform (the “Platform”) is operated by MCMC Research Corporation, S.A. under the Variational Terms of Use published at <https://docs.variational.io/legal/terms-of-use> (the “Platform Terms”). Every trade you place on the Platform, including any trade on which an entry is based, is governed solely by the Platform Terms. Nothing in these Terms amends, waives or supplements the Platform Terms.

2.2 These Terms govern only your participation in the Competition and any prize. Capitalized terms used but not defined in these Terms have the meanings given to them in the Platform Terms.

2.3 The Competition is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, the operator of X, Typeform, or any company referenced by an Eligible Market.

3\. Competition Period

The Competition begins at 15:00 UTC on October 26, 2026 and ends at 15:00 UTC on October 30, 2026 (the “Competition Period”). The Platform’s records and the Organizer’s systems are the official clock for the Competition.

4\. Eligibility

4.1 To be eligible to enter and to receive a prize, you must, at the time of entry and at the time any prize is paid: (a) be a natural person who has reached the higher of 18 years of age and the age of majority in the place where you reside; (b) hold a Platform account in good standing and be eligible to use the Platform under the Platform Terms; (c) not be a person identified as restricted on the Restricted Persons page at <https://docs.variational.io/legal/restricted-persons> (a “Restricted Person”), and not be resident or located in a Restricted Jurisdiction as defined in Section 4(E) of the Platform Terms; (d) not be resident or located in the United Kingdom, any member state of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea or Australia (the “Excluded Competition Jurisdictions”); and (e) not be prohibited from participating by any law that applies to you. For the avoidance of doubt, U.S. persons and Canadian persons are not eligible to participate.

4.2 The following persons are not eligible to participate: (a) officers, directors, employees and contractors of the Organizer, MCMC Research Corporation, S.A., MCMC Liquidity Corporation S.A. or any of their affiliates, and members of their immediate families and households; (b) any person who is party to a paid marketing, affiliate, ambassador, sponsorship or market-making agreement with the Organizer or any of its affiliates; and (c) any person whose access to the Platform has been suspended or terminated.

4.3 A person who is an officer, director or employee of a company referenced by an Eligible Market, or who possesses material non-public information about that company, may not submit an entry based on a position in that Eligible Market. By entering, you confirm that you did not open, hold or close the position on which your entry is based while in possession of material non-public information about the company referenced by that market.

4.4 You may not use a virtual private network, proxy or any other means to disguise your identity or location. The Organizer may verify eligibility by any means it considers appropriate, including identity verification, IP address and device data, and on-chain analysis.

5\. Eligible Markets

5.1 The markets eligible for each day of the Competition (each, a “Day”) are the markets listed for that Day in the Competition announcement published with these Terms (each, an “Eligible Market”). Each Eligible Market is assigned to the Day under which it is listed, regardless of when during the Competition Period a position in it is opened.

5.2 Earnings dates are set by the relevant companies and may change. A change to a company’s reporting date does not change the Day to which its Eligible Market is assigned.

5.3 Ticker symbols are the symbols used on the Platform and are used for identification only. A position in an Eligible Market is a contract entered into on the Platform. It does not give you ownership of, or any rights in, the shares of the company it references.

6\. How to Enter

6.1 To submit a valid entry (an “Entry”), you must, during the Competition Period: (a) open a position in an Eligible Market with a notional value of at least USD 1,000 at the time the position is opened (a “Qualifying Position”); (b) generate a PnL card for the Qualifying Position using the Platform’s share function, without editing, altering or cropping out any information shown on it (a “PnL Card”); (c) post the PnL Card on X from a publicly viewable account, tagging @variational\_io (an “Entry Post”); and (d) complete the entry form at <https://variational.typeform.com/pnl-card-comp> with the URL of your Entry Post, the trade ID of the Qualifying Position and the wallet address connected to your Platform account.

6.2 A position opened before the start of the Competition Period is not a Qualifying Position, even if it is increased during the Competition Period.

6.3 You may submit one Entry for each Day. If you submit more than one Entry for the same Day, only the first Entry submitted will be considered. Your Entry Post must remain publicly viewable until the winners have been announced.

6.4 Entries that are incomplete, late or cannot be verified are void. The Organizer is not responsible for entries that are lost, delayed or not received because of any failure of X, Typeform, the Platform, any blockchain network or any other system.

7\. Prizes

7.1 For each Day, the Organizer will award the following prizes among Entries based on Qualifying Positions in that Day’s Eligible Markets: (a) Largest Gain (%): 2,500 USDC to the Entry with the highest PnL (%); (b) Largest Gain ($): 2,500 USDC to the Entry with the highest PnL ($); and (c) Best Post: 1,000 USDC to the Entry Post judged best under Section 7.4. The total value of all prizes is 18,000 USDC.

7.2 “PnL ($)” means the profit or loss of a Qualifying Position in U.S. dollars as shown on the PnL Card, as verified against the Platform’s records at the time the PnL Card was generated. “PnL (%)” means PnL ($) expressed as a percentage of the initial margin of the Qualifying Position, as shown on the PnL Card and verified in the same way. A Qualifying Position opened with leverage greater than 20x is not eligible for the Largest Gain (%) prize.

7.3 If two or more Entries tie for a prize, the Entry based on the Qualifying Position with the larger notional value at the time it was opened wins. If Entries remain tied, the Entry submitted first through the entry form wins.

7.4 The Best Post prize is judged by the Organizer on the basis of creativity, clarity and originality. An Entry Post that contains an investment recommendation, a price target, a statement that returns are guaranteed, or any content that breaches Section 9 is not eligible for this prize.

7.5 Each person may win only one prize during the Competition. If a person would otherwise win more than one prize, that person will receive the prize of higher value or, where the values are equal, the prize for the earlier Day or, for prizes on the same Day, the Largest Gain ($) prize, and each other prize will pass to the next-ranked eligible Entry.

7.6 Prizes are personal to the winner and may not be transferred. No cash or other alternative is available, except that the Organizer may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if payment in USDC is not practicable.

8\. Prohibited Conduct and Disqualification

8.1 The Organizer may disqualify any Entry, and withhold any prize, if it reasonably determines that the entrant, or any person acting with the entrant: (a) operated or controlled more than one Platform account, or entered using another person’s account; (b) held, alone or in coordination with any other person, a position that offsets all or part of the market exposure of a Qualifying Position, including an opposite position in the same Eligible Market held through another account; (c) engaged in wash trading, manipulation or any other conduct prohibited by the Platform Terms; (d) traded on the basis of material non-public information; (e) submitted an altered or fabricated PnL Card, or false or misleading information; (f) used automated means, exploits or location-masking tools in connection with the Competition; or (g) otherwise breached these Terms or the Platform Terms.

8.2 In making these determinations, the Organizer may rely on identity verification data, funding-source and on-chain analysis, IP address and device data, and the Platform’s records. The Organizer’s determinations are final.

8.3 Disqualification under these Terms does not by itself affect your Platform account, which remains subject to the Platform Terms.

9\. Entry Posts

9.1 Your Entry Post is your own content, and you are responsible for it. Your Entry Post must comply with X’s rules and with any law that applies to you. In your Entry Post and otherwise in connection with the Competition, you must not: (a) state or imply that the Organizer endorses you, your views or your trading; (b) give investment advice or recommendations, or state that any return is guaranteed; (c) make any false or misleading statement about the Platform, the Organizer or any company; or (d) direct your Entry Post at persons in a Restricted Jurisdiction or an Excluded Competition Jurisdiction.

9.2 You grant the Organizer and its affiliates a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to repost, display and reproduce your Entry Post and PnL Card for the purposes of administering the Competition, announcing winners and promoting the Competition, for 12 months after the end of the Competition Period.

10\. Winner Verification and Prize Payment

10.1 The Organizer will announce potential winners on X and at <https://docs.variational.io/omni/pnl-card-comp> on or about October 30, 2026. The Organizer will not contact potential winners by direct message on X or any other platform, and will never ask for a private key, seed phrase or password.

10.2 To claim a prize, a potential winner must, within 14 days after the announcement under Section 10.1: (a) open a support ticket in the Variational app while connected with the wallet address associated with the winning Entry; (b) complete the Organizer’s identity verification process, which may be carried out by a third-party provider; (c) sign an attestation confirming that the potential winner satisfies Section 4 and has complied with Section 8; and (d) pass sanctions and Restricted Persons screening. A potential winner who does not satisfy each of these requirements within that period forfeits the prize, and the prize will pass to the next-ranked eligible Entry, whose entrant will have 14 days from the Organizer’s announcement of that change to satisfy the same requirements.

10.3 Prizes are paid in USDC on Arbitrum One to the wallet address connected to the winner’s Platform account, within 30 days after verification is complete. The Organizer is not responsible for any loss arising from a transfer to that address, for network fees or delays, or for any change in the value of USDC.

10.4 The Organizer may withhold or delay payment of a prize where it considers this necessary to comply with any law, sanctions requirement or request from any governmental or regulatory authority.

10.5 Each winner is solely responsible for any taxes arising from a prize. The Organizer may withhold amounts from, or report, a prize where required by law.

10.6 Except where prohibited by law, by accepting a prize you consent to the Organizer publishing your X handle, the prize you won and your Entry Post, without further compensation.

11\. Risk Disclosure

Trading on the Platform involves a high risk of loss. Positions in Eligible Markets are leveraged derivatives contracts, and you can lose all of the margin you post. Earnings announcements often cause large and sudden price moves, including outside the regular trading hours of the underlying shares, and those moves can result in the liquidation of your position. The Competition does not recommend any trade, market or strategy, and nothing in the Competition or these Terms is investment, legal or tax advice. You should not open or size a position for the purpose of winning a prize, and you should not trade with funds you cannot afford to lose. Results posted by other entrants do not indicate future results.

12\. Changes, Suspension and Cancellation

12.1 The Organizer may modify, suspend, extend or cancel the Competition, in whole or in part (including for any Day or Eligible Market), if fraud, technical failure, a Platform outage, a pricing or oracle failure, a trading halt in the shares referenced by an Eligible Market, a change in law or regulatory guidance, or any other cause beyond its reasonable control affects the administration, fairness or legality of the Competition. The Organizer will give notice of any change by updating these Terms at <https://docs.variational.io/omni/pnl-card-comp>.

12.2 If the Competition is cancelled, the Organizer may award prizes among eligible Entries received before the cancellation.

13\. Release, Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

13.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release the Organizer, its affiliates and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents (the “Released Parties”) from all claims arising out of your participation in the Competition or the receipt or use of any prize.

13.2 The Released Parties are not liable for any trading loss or liquidation, any unavailability or malfunction of the Platform, X, Typeform or any blockchain network, or any indirect or consequential loss. The total liability of the Released Parties arising out of or in connection with the Competition will not exceed the greater of the value of any prize awarded to you and USD 100.

13.3 You will indemnify the Released Parties against any loss, claim or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or from your Entry Post.

13.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

14\. Personal Data

The Organizer processes the personal data you provide through the entry form and the identity verification process in order to administer the Competition, verify eligibility, pay prizes and comply with law, in accordance with the Variational privacy policy at <https://docs.variational.io/legal/privacy-policy>. The Organizer may share that data with its affiliates, its identity verification and screening providers, and any authority where required by law.

15\. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Competition are governed by the laws of the Cayman Islands. Any such dispute will be resolved in accordance with the dispute resolution provisions of Section 15 of the Platform Terms, which apply to these Terms as if references in them to the Company were references to the Organizer.

16\. General

The Organizer’s decisions on all matters relating to the Competition are final and binding. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect. A failure by the Organizer to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision. These Terms, together with the Platform Terms, are the entire agreement between you and the Organizer regarding the Competition. If these Terms are translated, the English version prevails. The Competition is void where prohibited. Questions about the Competition may be sent to <hello@variational.io>.
